In November 2019, Nikon released the first Z-mount APS-C camera, Nikon Z50. This DX format mirrorless camera is considered an important debut for the company in the crowded APS-C mirrorless market. According to Nikon, this camera is designed as an idea travel camera and is made for vloggers, content creators, the Instagram generation or people who just love this brand. With great handling, impressive screen design and viewfinder, there is a lot to like about the Z50 for people in this field.
Nikon Z50 Offers Great Handling:
In terms of build, this camera has a full magnesium constructed body, which meets users’ need while handling. Also, the body is quite small compared to the Z6 and Z7 and the grip is really nice and deep for professionals who have already used it. Furthermore, it weighs less than 1 pounds and 4 ounces, which makes it easy for people to handle.
Convenient Touch Screen and Mode Dial
The touch screen is a big plus, users can choose the focus points and pinch to zoom when viewing photos and tap to sutter, which means that vloggers and people who use cameras frequently are going to love the Z50, for it is easy to navigate the camera's menu by using the high resolution 3.2 rear touch screen, which happens to fip down.
Besides, on the top of the camera is the usual mode dial which we are used to, you can switch between Stills and and Video with only a little switch on the top of the camera, which means that you can basically separate Stills and Video without going to the menu and adjust your settings for these two modes.
Brand-new Sensor and 4K Video Record:
The Z50 features a brand-new 20.9 megapixel sensor, with a new AF phase array, it’s capable of shooting 11fps at full resolution with continuous autofocus and auto exposure. Besides, just like Nikon Z6 and Z7, the Z50 records 4K ultra high definition video up to 30p with a bit rate up to 144 megabits per second. Moreover, you can record 1080p up to 120 frames per second.
An Economical Choice:
The new crop-sensor camera uses the Z-mount and costs under 1,000 US$. (approximately 860 US$) Besides, another cool thing Nikon did when designing the Z50 is that even though it’s smaller than their full frame mirrorless cameras such as Z6 and Z7, it still uses the same Z-mount. So users will able to use all the same lenses and don’t have to worried about buying a new lineup lenses.
