“Xbox One Series X will deliver a level of fidelity and immersion unlike anything that’s been achieved in previous console generations,” said Phil Spencer in his press release regarding next generation of Microsoft gaming console.

Microsoft released a brand new press release about the arrival of the next generation of Xbox. The Xbox One Series X is claimed by the head of Xbox Phil Spencer to be extremely capable, innovative, and consumer-friendly.

Starting from the specs, the Xbox One series X features self-developed processor coupled with AMD’s Zen 2 and RNDA architecture and is capable of running at 4k 60 fps or even as high as 120 fps. The system will also support 8k resolution as per the press release suggests.

Graphic wise, Spencer also mentioned Xbox One Series X supporting Variable Refresh Rate and importantly, hardware accelerated ray-tracing, all of this made possible by the aforementioned specs. By implementing these new additions to Xbox One Series X, Microsoft plans to build a “lifelike, immersive, responsive and surprising” which will be nothing like we’ve ever seen before, the author is relatively certain that everyone will hold them to that promise.

Player-experience wise, Spencer also included a lot of encouraging news for the fans of Xbox console. The new console will include up to four generations of backwards-compatibility, making it able to run thousands of games upon launch.

Other than that, the well-known Microsoft game service Xbox game pass will also be available with the new console, giving players even more options in their pool of games.

Last but not least, one thing about SSD Spencer has mentioned is very intriguing, he mentioned: “next generation SSD will virtually eliminate load times.” The claim expresses extreme confidence and assertiveness in terms of the capability of the SSD that will be featured in Xbox One Series X, author here would like to hold a conservative attitude towards that statement; however, views can decide on their own whether this statement is legitimate.

In addition to the variety of games that will be available on Xbox One X, Spencer also spoke of some network-optimizing features such as the minimized latency provided by Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and a new tool called “Dynamic Latency Input (DLI)”, the two new additions combined should theoretically solve most if not all of the existing network problems in the current generation of Xbox console.

Finally, improvements regarding player’s control over the video game software has been added on the list of improvements made with the next generation console. The new Xbox will feature wireless controllers which has its size and shape refined in order to fit palms of various shapes and sizes. The share button has also been adjusted so that capturing screenshots and game clips are made simpler. The new Xbox Wireless Controller will be packed with every Xbox One Series X.

All in all, the head of Xbox Phil Spencer offered a lot of glaring promises in terms of the performance of Xbox One Series X, one can only speculate if any of those claims will bring actual improvements to the real performance of said console.
