Apple HomeKit is a system which enables you to control your smart home devices with your phone. It makes it possible to adjust your thermostat, lights, locks in multiple rooms, to help you create the ambiance you want.
Although HomeKit isn’t compatible with as many devices as Google Assistant or Amazon’s Alexa, but the number is increasing every day.
What can you do with Apple HomeKit?
HomeKit allows you to turn on and off your lights, adjust the temperature of your room, turn on and off devices connected to outlets using smart plugs or switches, lock and unlock doors.

The Apple Home app for iOS permits you to securely control any smart home device with the label “Work with Apple HomeKit” on it. In the app, you can organize your accessories by room, manage multiple accessories at the same time, and control your home with Siri. You can think of it as an app that turns your phone into a universal remote control for smart home devices.
